Can you ever get back together with an ex even if things ended badly?

My ex and I parted because of a similar situation to what you described. I left her because she did something mean, ugly and very disrespectful to me. Although it has been over a year, I could not make that same connection I had with any other woman I dated. Just the other day my ex made a personal sacarfice of something important of hers that showed me a lot of respect and won new admiration from me for it. I don't know what will happen between my ex and I, but we both needed time to mature and grow up. You too may need some time, however long it takes, to mature and grow up. 20's is still young
