How do you save a dying coleus?

The top of my coleus plan snapped off this morning when it was ripped off accidentally. Now I have some of the stem with a majority of the leaves. I out it in a gl of water, but the leaves have all wilted. What can I do to revive it? Is it getting too much water? Plant it in another planter? Thanks!
