The Scarlet Letter and The Crucible?

So i have to do a literary ysis on both the scarlet letter and the crucible in one essay using the same literary thing. I was going to do symbolism but i cant really think of any symbolism in the crucible. The scarlet letter has many from the scarlet A and the comment and many others. Can you please help me with symbolism in the crucible or a new literary thing that i could use that would fit the two stories better. thanks so much!
