How to get over fear of flying and looking for some statistic help?

I'm going on a trip to Tennessee in February and I'm flying from Albany to Detroit to Tennessee then on the way from from Tennessee to D.C to Albany. I don't so much mind flying as I do crashing...Help? Any good odds out there or experience?
